Learn to Strengthen Self-Esteem, Practice Self-Compassion, & Move toward Thriving

With Brave Wings offers individual mental health counseling to adults (18+) of all identities who find themselves struggling with change and transition. Life shifts, however big or small, can bring up a lot of overwhelming thoughts, feelings, and parts of self. By empowering folks to author and (re)claim control of their own narratives, they’ll start to recognize, identify, and utilize their internal capacities and strengths to live their fullest lives. This process can mean learning to name big emotions and understanding how they live in the body; reducing negative self talk and rebuilding self-esteem; challenging negative core beliefs and being guided by self compassion rather than self sabotage; and moving through stuckness to resilience and thriving.

Clinical approach is rooted in compassionate, culturally affirming, agency-promoting, and trauma-informed practice. Interventions comprise an eclectic mix of narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. All individuals are viewed through a relational-cultural and holistic lens in the contexts of the systems that impact them.
